You may have a number of questions that you would like answers to, from topics such as booking an appointment, preparing for a procedure right through to paying for your treatment. Below are the answers to some of the most commons questions we get asked, but of course you can get in touch if there is something not in this list.
DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS?
We run clinics most week days. Please call us and if we have availability we will be happy to arrange a consutlation on the same day for you.
DO I NEED A GP REFERRAL TO SEE A CONSULTANT?
We do not require a letter for you to see one of our consultants, you can self refer. It is worth bearing in mind that your insurers may require a GP referral letter though so it is worth seeking advice from them.
DO YOU OFFER REMOTE TELEPHONE AND VIDEO CONSULTATIONS?
We are more than happy to offer your initial and/or follow up consultation by video or telephone if our clinical team do not need to see or examine you in person. Most insurance companies now cover the cost of this too but please check your level of cover.
HOW DO I CONTACT YOU AFTER HOURS?
London Bridge Urology is an elective service and our office is open 9am-5pm Mon-Fri however patients who are admitted to hospital for a procedure will be given the telephone number of the ward for24 hours a day contact for any concerns. You will be provided with contact details following your treatment.
I AM SELF FUNDING, HOW DO I FIND OUT HOW MUCH MY TREATMENT OR PROCEDURE WILL COST?
Prices for your treatment and / or procedure can only be quoted by the London Bridge Urology self pay team, and must be put in writing to you. For more information please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that we are only able to give you a price quote once you have been seen by your consultant and they have determined what procedure or treatment you will need.
I WAS SEEN AT ESSEX UROLOGY PARTNERS BUT I HAVE RECEIVED AN INVOICE FROM LONDON BRIDGE UROLOGY
We work in partnership with our colleagues at Essex Urology Partners and handle all of the billing aspect of the service.
I HAVE PAID HCA / SPIRE HEALTHCARE BUT HAVE RECEIVED AN INVOICE FROM LONDON BRIDGE UROLOGY
London Bridge Urology is an independent service not in the employ of any of the hospitals we work in. If you have paid your invoice in error to the admitting hospital, please contact our accounts department. Email: email@example.com
